History of Sally

Sally was manufactured in Van Nuys, California in 1962 by Shasta Travel Trailers,
one of the country’s largest manufactures of small trailers. She became part of
Sylvia’s personal collection of trailers in 2005. Sylvia found Sally by a very unusual
method... while working on another Shasta trailer Sylvia managed to cut a finger
bad enough to require stitches. As the doctor was sewing up her finger she asked
Sylvia what had happened. After hearing the explanation the doctor mentioned she
had a friend with an old trailer for sale, once Sylvia heard it had a z stripe and
wings she was interested. Located on a private lake for years it had been protected
by trees and in very usable condition, and a deal was made for a very good price.
Soon Sylvia had Retro Restoration paint Sally in a 1955 Ford Tropical Rose color
and was used at many trailer rallies until it found its way to the Starlite. We
have since refinished the wood interior, had it reupholstered and added the pink
& white floor. Sally still has her original aluminum skin and interior wood.

This unit sleeps up to four in two gaucho (pull out) beds. It has ash wood refinished
in the original blond color, original gold flecked counter & table tops. It does
have a small restroom with a porta-
Closet right next to door, rear couch pulls out into another double bed. Restroom in rear on the right. The gas lamp features a very rare 1000 eye globe.
Kitchen area features a small sink, stove with oven and a refrigerator.
Trailer comes with all linens and towels (except pool towels), basic dishes and cookware, coffee pot. Just bring your own food and drinks!
Outside amenities include awning with party lights, lounge chairs, picnic table, firepit and a stand up grill. Best of all are the fantastic views!
