History of Shaggy

Shaggy was built by Ken-Craft trailers in San Fernando, CA in 1972.  Ken-Craft trailers were built from the late 1950’s to the mid 1970’s to the best of our knowledge.  The construction of them was very unique for the time as they were one of the first manufactures to start using fiberglass on the exterior, the front, back and a large one piece roof.  Not only did this provide protection from water leaks it allowed some pretty cool styling.  Ken-Craft was a very high end travel trailer as they continued to use real wood interiors long after most manufacturers had gone to a fake, photo laminate wood paneling.  Shaggy still has the original oak interior in beautiful  condition.

We don’t know anything about Shaggy’s previous life before purchasing it for the Starlite.  We found it in Fort Collins, CO advertised on Craig's List.
